The majority of children's parties have a theme and these can be quite simple such as a colour or the latest TV character where everything to do with the party matches the theme. A good pre-schooler choice is Arts and Crafts or Messy Play, a class teacher can run these for you or you can buy kits on-line or from craft/DIY stores to run your own! The nice thing is that the children will have their own work to take home with them!
If you are looking for a fun and creative activity from ages 4 and up then bead and jewellery making are available either at a local studio or with someone coming to your home or venue with everything the children need to create wonderful pieces that they can also take home with them.
These parties have various packages available starting with a bowling game and party food to the full works including disco & games with party hosts.
Cookery Parties
We love this idea as the party theme becomes the party food! Choose a simple party food, such as pizza, fairy cakes, biscuits and make it fun with lots of extras like a wide range of pizza toppings or cake/biscuits decorations, then get cooking! You will need to ask parents to bring aprons or coveralls and consider the cooking logisitics. Ideal for a small party at home and age 6+.
Disco Parties
You can hire or even be the DJ for the party. It does help if there are disco lights and a glitter ball - or maybe even a bubble machine but watch out for slippery floors.
Your nearest centre for Go-Karting will usually provide for parties
We can only think of the bear stores where you can make a soft toy (but there could well be others) and they also offer party packages.
A great choice for pre-school children and many of the music class teachers will run these for you.
Contact your Local equestrian Centre as many offer party packages.
Some restaurants and cafes will run a "cook your own ..." party!

Discover the fun of Science with a party that can combine interactive themed experiments in a safe environment with demonstrations and games. Hire a Science Entertainer to entertain and educate in a fun party way! These parties can be at an organised venue or your home and combine learning and play to provide excellent party fun....often Science themed party bags are available to continue the theme. Most suitable for boys & girls aged 5 plus.
A popular choice and most soft play centres and activity centres will host, organise and cater for your party.
Sports Parties
Swimming Party - your local pool might well offer children's pool parties
Football Parties - some of the football franchises will run these for you
Gym Parties - some local sports or gym clubs will offer party packages
Ice Skating Parties - contact your local rink
RollerSkating/Blading - contact your local skate park
Or contact your local Sports Centre as they might offer a bespoke sports party for you
Your local pottery studio will probably host a pottery painting party for you and some will come to your party venue. You can also buy pottery party equipment in stores or on the internet where the pottery pieces are fires and posted back to you!
Parties for babies and toddlers
1st and 2nd birthday entertainment can be tricky but many of the baby and toddler class teachers will run these at your chosen venue, baby signing, music, dance and sensory play are good choices for this age.
